Dr. England had a vision. She wanted to believe that because of her own experiences and training, she could help other women to cope with what she knew was often something very confusing as well as painful--something that even many therapists did not fully understand. She knew that often men could be very successful in their professional or business lives, but create all kinds of chaos and emotional pain for their wives and families. Couldn't she help other women to better accept the realities of their lives by sharing her own personal experiences--speaking from the heart? Couldn't they be benefited through articles that were written in a conversational versus an academic or erudite manner? Furthermore, coouldn't she offer seminars and coaching services for those who might desire some addtional information? Plus, wouldn't some women find plesure in escaping through novels that told stories of women who walked away from lives their hudbands' actions had basically decimated, but then went forward and walked a new path that took them in directions they would never have dreamed?
Dr. Diane England hasn't accomplished all she has outlined here. However, she is still actively taking steps to bring it all to fruition--to make it a reality. And while she regrets that you are having to endure what you likely are today, she wants you to have hope for a better tomorrow. After all, when she was feeling so beaten down by her partner's narcissism, addictions, and abuse that she questioned if she had the strength to get out and start over, she never suspected that she would come to do some of the things she has since. There was the opportunity to live and work in Italy. There was the opportunity to write novels. There was the opportunity to write "The Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Relationship." And there was the opportunity to learn the whole intenet marketing thing so she could reach out to you in this way.
Believe that in the future, you too might come to know yourself and experience a way of life different than you know today.
